Book Clubs

A Good Hard Look is a great choice for book clubs: dramatic, multi-layered, and historical. The novel is set in the South in the early 1960s, so feel free to kick back with southern food and perhaps a cold mint julep while you discuss the book!

Themes of the book you can use to start a discussion include:

  • How to live life well
  • The power of forgiveness – both for yourself and others
  • Grief and mourning
  • Relationships between mothers and daughters
  • Grace and redemption
